How long we’ve been together: 4 years

What makes our personalities so compatible: we are complete opposites when it comes to a lot of things and it works out really well b/c we compliment each other in those things. We work together to make a complete circle.

A funny story about us: we each have a daughter from a previous marriage and they have the same name…just spelled differently!

What we liked about our Engagement Photo Shoot with Adam and the pictures we ended up with: we were nervous at first because we don’t normally take a lot of pictures, but Adam was patient and made it work…and they turned out great! We were also excited to be able to get some great family pictures in the process!

The kind of dress I thought I wanted: I had no idea what I wanted!

The kind of dress I ended up choosing: a satin Ivory ballgown with a pick- up skirt….or as jack calls them “bubbles”, and beading on the bodice.

What I liked about my Bridal Photo Shoot with Erin and the pictures I ended up with: I absolutely love my bridal pictures! I got a good variety of poses and settings. Erin was great to work with and I am 100% satisfied!

A moment from the wedding you’ll never forget:

Groom: The moment I caught sight of her walking from the bamboo

Bride: The look on his face when he saw me

Wedding and Reception Venue and why we chose it: Rip Van Winkle Gardens. The place is gorgeous…..everything there is so awesome. With Adam and Erin we knew that the pictures would come out great anywhere, but we knew they would be really amazing there! Getting married at Rip Van Winkle was a great choice. Everything was absolutely beautiful!

What we liked about having Adam as our wedding photographers and our wedding day pictures: What can we say, they both take amazing pictures…they are truly talented!

Tradd & Meagan Engagements

Tradd and I go wayyyyy back, atleast 2 years. We’ve seen each other a handful of times while working weddings. The first time that I remember, was at Luke and Kelly’s wedding reception in Rayne. Tradd was the DJ and his lovely bride to be (Meagan), who at the time was his girlfriend, was there helping him. I did notice how cute they were together behind that DJ table (aww sha). Tradd was a joy to work with, and is a very good DJ (all you future brides out there). So naturally Erin and I were really excited when they asked us to capture one of the biggest days of their lives. It’s an honor and blessing to have the career that Erin and I have, and we always thank God for allowing us such special people to work with on such a consistent basis. Go Marriage!

The kind of dress I thought I wanted:

Oh goodness, a dress I found online and got through a referred friend, ordered wayyy too big, and couldn’t get it altered correctly!!

The kind of dress I ended up choosing:

A beautiful and flattering dress TWO weeks before the wedding! It was a totally different look, and I felt absolutely beautiful in it :) it was THE dress!

The thing that makes my bridal look unique:

I went for a “vintage” inspired wedding, birdcage veil, large hair piece with feather, and my shoes (which everyone loved and my wedding coordinator wanted to keep)!

What I liked about my Bridal / Newlywed Photo Shoot with Erin and the pictures I ended up with:

Erin was AWESOME to work with! She created the entire “first time” he would see me in my dress, helped us relax, and Adam did THE best photoshopping job…EVER!!

Sarah is a student at UL and works part-time.
Evin is a student at UL (taking this semester off) and works full-time.

A funny story about us:

Evin and I said the same thing at the same time one day, and Evin says ” Pinch poke you owe me a coke!”….but his hands did “Poke pinch you owe me a coke”! We still do it wrong on purpose today!! :)

A moment from the wedding you’ll never forget:

Groom: Whenever I saw Sarah for the first time walking down the aisle….and when I shoved cake in Sarah’s face!!

Bride: Walking down the aisle and seeing Evin cry :)

River Ranch Townsquare for the ceremony. It was very reasonably priced, convenient, and beautiful!

River Ranch City Club, same reasons why we chose the Townsquare!

Here’s another one from two very lovely people, John and Cherie! The shoot was very fun, there were a lot of mosquito’s roaming around wanting to get in the pictures! But no worries, I edited the ones that made it into the shot out. But whenever we told them no, the shoot wasn’t for them, they got mad and starting attacking us… either way, south Louisiana’s beauty tops any bug :-)

The shoot was super fun and lots of laughs! Erin gave great directions and got awesome shots, despite the peanut gallery that I brought along! The pics are gorgeous and we love the editing!

She was the most beautiful woman that I have ever seen.

A moment from the wedding you’ll never forget:

Just as the priest began the ceremony, drops of rain began to fall. All the guests grabbed their chair and scurried inside. We regrouped and started the ceremony again as the thunder and lightening echoed outside.

What makes our personalities so compatible:

We know each others true person because we have been friends for so long…and of course lots of laughs :)

A funny story about us:

In the 8 years of our friendship, although we never dated, we always knew that we would end up together. We just thought that we would be each others second marriage…ha ha!

Our relationship was personal and comfortable. She was always close by and captured every moment.

What we liked about our Engagement Photo Shoot with Adam and the pictures we ended up with:

We liked the fact that he let us have a say in the pics we took. He allowed us to just be ourselves. The poses felt natural. We chose pictures that reflected our everyday style.

The kind of dress I thought I wanted:

A Maggie Sottero dress that had lots of huge flowers on it.

The kind of dress I ended up choosing:

A Maggie Sottero dress with tons of beading from head to toe and lace ( that I’m really not into). I’m all about the bling!!

The thing that makes my bridal look unique:

My jewlery. It was very non-traditional and I opted for no veil or headpiece. My look was more vintage/fashion with lots of necklaces and chunky bracelets. Lots of bling!!!

What I liked about my Bridal Photo Shoot with Erin and the pictures I ended up with:

Erin took her time and she captured my essence…lol. The poses were more like a fashion photo shoot and really brought out the individuality of my personal style and dress. The pictures I thought were going to be terrible were beautiful and I just enjoyed working with her because she took her time and got several different poses that gave me more choices. What can I say…she’s just awesome…every bride’s dream photographer…

Chris is patient and calm and Jennifer is fiesty and impatient. We balance each other out.

A funny story about us:

Everytime we go grocery shopping we are always knocking down everything in the aisles. We are both very silly.

Reception Venue and why we chose it:

Springs Ballroom in Iota, LA was our wedding venue and we chose it because it reflected our personal style. It has the gazebo and the courtyard area and it’s very elegant. It allowed us to give our guests the island feel we so desired. It has a beautiful chandelier and it has a rustic look that just makes it so different from the typical reception halls.

It’s been a very trying year with the issues that we have had to face with Zion that came up so unexpectedly. Somehow we were able to make it through despite all the obstacles and living in two different states. We made it through as a couple and worked as a team and managed to make it to a year post-trasplant. We are very proud of the foundation we’ve built because of it.

Other vendors we would highly recommend:

Fleur Du Jour out of Baton Rouge are awesome. Lani sat down with me and told me to tell her my dream wedding. She then went through each detail and gave me a price for it. On the wedding day, the flowers and each detail down to the jewels with music notes hanging from them and the sheet music around the vases were gorgeous!!

Terra Cotta’s out of Lake Charles designed our beautiful cakes based on my ideas and the cake was delicious!! Wonderful to work with as well.

What we liked about having Adam as our wedding photographers and our wedding day pictures:

He took lots of pictures and took all the poses we asked him to take and more. He gave guests info on how to look at pictures for the wedding.

We both have Jesus fish tattoos and I have a fleur de lis tatt which he said would be his last tattoo he’d ever get… This was prior to us ever talking

Drove off in Nick’s brother’s car… Then had to turn around because we forgot the food from the caterer… Lol
